Microneedling is a procedure that has taken over the beauty industry, and for good reason! This treatment gives amazing results with little downtime!
For those who do not know, SkinPen Microneedling is a handheld tool that has 14 tiny needles to puncture the first layer of skin, which promotes the body’s natural healing process which in turn promotes collagen and elastin. This will lead to smoother, softer, and more radiant skin!
The Main benefits From this procedure include:
- Improves skin texture
- Minimizes scars and acne
- Evens out skin tone
- Helps minimize pore size
- Helps even fine lines
Though this procedure includes needles, it’s really painless so do not fear. We use a topical numbing cream on your skin before hand so you feel little to nothing! Some clients even say it tickles!
After your treatment, you can feel like you have a sunburn but the feeling should pass within 24-48 hours. It is important to avoid wearing make up for the first 24 hours at least to give time for your micro injuries to heal. You can expect to know everything to avoid after your microneedling session but I would plan to give yourself two days at least for “downtime”.
Morpheus 8 is a newer type of Microneedling. When comparing Microneedling vs Morpheus 8, the main difference is the addition of Radiofrequency. This added radio frequency reaches deep into the layers of the skin to promote the production of collagen and elastin at a significantly higher level than traditional Microneedling. Another cool thing is Morpheus 8 is great for all areas of the body including the stomach, legs, and arms!
Benefits from this include:
- Improves the appearance of cellulite
- Dark spots on the skin are reduced
- Improves the appearance of stretch marks and scars ( acne and trauma)
- Reduces the signs of aging ( fine lines and wrinkles)
- Helps firm loose skin
Similar to regular Microneedling, the aftercare will be about the same. Most people do a series of at least 3 treatments to get the best results. Both Morpheus 8 and Microneedling treatments are great for all skin types, and depending on the severity of your skin concerns determines what treatment may be best suited for you! I always recommend having a consult with an esthetician ( or whoever performs these treatments) to go over goals, Pre and Post care so we are able to get the very best results!
Did you know we do complimentary consults? Give our office a call to set up your consultation and see what Microneedling treatment would be right for you!
